#BBATheChase: Who’s fooling who in Big Brother Africa?

#BBATheChase: Who’s fooling who in Big Brother Africa?

post by 9ja Hottest

The twists and turns of the Big Brother Africa house are in full swing. Boboye Onduku reveals the characters and personalities behind the play acts, pretense and love flame.

Natasha's divide-and-rule strategy
Malawi's Natasha has played her cards very well in the Ruby house. Her strategy of being ‘cool’ with every housemate ensured that she was nominated by only one housemate for possible eviction.
Nevertheless, the watching audience know exactly what she is up to. She puts herself as the ‘coolest’ person in the house but snitches on any housemate as long as it will put her in a vintage position. Her gossip cohorts, Biguesas and Sulu are yet to know the true colour of this mother of a 10-year old child.

LK 4 and his dumb lover, Koketso
LK4’s love discomfort is a classic case of strategy turning on its head. If the Ugandan’s plans were to curry the votes of Nigeria and South Africa by getting ‘comfortable’ with their country reps, then he is set for a backlash from both countries. As his game spewed on him last week, his other half Koketsoreveled in the victim’s role. The truth is Koketso is drawing parallels with the late Goldie. She can’t seem to walk away from LK4 despite claiming that she is not dumb.Nah! Dumb Love will be a better game for her, not The Chase.

Selly and her 'Aristo' Baba Sulu
Ghana’s Sellyis enjoying the presence of Zambian taxi-driver and ghetto brought-up, Sulu. And ‘Baba’ Sulu is enjoying her company too. Didn’t the duo kiss on Wednesday? Hmmn...
Somehow Sulu is being taunted by Selly as she playacts just to see him worked up. On Monday, he paid the price for his aloofness when he injured his big toe just to ensure that ‘there was no gossip’ building about him from the Jacuzzi. Poor guy!

Bolt and his only bullet, Betty
Bolt had a nice laugh on Elikem Tuesday night. He revealed he came into the game with one bullet and has ‘shot’ the bullet. If you didn’t catch that then, you will never get it. He was addressing Elikem’s ‘double’ eyes for his inability to find love in the Diamond house. Bolt is been economical with the truth. If, and when Betty exits, Africa may see a reserve bullet been pulled out from somewhere.

Betty somehow always seems to be on mute mode when housemates are thrashing out things. But when Bolt is involved, she manages to speak. Is this a case of ‘Beauty and The Beast’?

Hakeem and his love for Cleo
Hakeem has said it in many forms. He wants be reunited with Zambia’s Cleo in the Ruby House. He has begged Biggy for a chance just to say ‘hi’ to his heartthrob, but Biggy was not forthcoming. By the time you are reading this, Biggy may just have obliged him.

Diamond housemates are amiss as to how he never seems to get going in the house and why he keeps talking about Cleo.Cleo on her part was down a day after the left the Ruby house for Diamonds. Bassey lent her a shoulder then. Hakeem is sulking big time and wants to make good his promise to Cleo just before Feza shipped him to theDiamond house - go on a date with her.

Will he really be given the chance to hit it off with his Cleo? Would Cleo hold out for him? And would they hit the ground running if they reunite? Ah! Plenty love butterflies are in the air.

Angelo and Annabel's 'kurukere' love?
The weight of Angelo's dreads can easily be mistaken for a thick forest. So is his veiled love for Annabel that has gone sour. The oldest housemate on the show was subtle about his ‘hots’ for Kenya’s Annabel. But Huddah blew his lid to Annabel when she revealed that he had asked her if he could kiss her. That was fast from Angelo but it ensured that whatever affection Annabel had for him turned to ‘agro’.

But the personal trainer brought all the brouhaha upon himself. He had implied that Annabel was the confused one in a ‘Tell-It-As-It-Is’ session late Tuesday night. Annabel’s response was terse. “You irritate me. Don’t play around with my emotions.” Nevertheless, housemates, especially Melvin wanted the duo to sheath their swords and be ‘friends’. Just friends?  Annabel thinks the ‘hot stepper’ would not take that. Or would they just play safe?

Elikem and his veiled love for Fatima
Elikem was nominated for possible eviction by Diamond HOH, Betty because she feels he is afraid of rejection.  And is not being man enough. Coming from the almost mute Betty, this cannot be waived away. And she was right when Elikem revealed that he thought there was really no need in pursuing Feza’s love when she had told him expressly she was not ready to get down with him yet.

Of course, Feza had suffered a break up under a year. For her, there was no need to rush things. Elikem has seemingly moved on. And has found solace with Fatima ‘under the sheets.’ Wasn’t it what he wanted with Feza - to just lay with her for the night in bed? Fatima says she won’t ‘kiss-and-tell’. And she made a mountain out of a mole hill when she sensed she could be put on the spotlight for her love inclinations. What is this duo up to?

Nando and his 'banging' love for Dillish
Nando looks like a frustrated figure. Initially one could easily take sides with him for the love snob from Zimbabwe’s Dillish. But that was before his bombshell was released. “Me and Nando are cool,” she told Diamond housemates, “He told me that he just wants to bang me.” Ooops! What????

That corroborated the exact words he told Annabel. Now, either this Americanah is high on drugs or he simply has no regards for decency. Anyways let’s see how much face he gets from Dillish or Africa to accomplish his sinister motive.

Can Koketso, Hakeem and LK 4 survive eviction?
Five housemates are facing possible eviction this week. LK 4 (Uganda), Dillish, (Namibia) and Hakeem (Zimbabwe) were each nominated by 4 housemates. Feza (Tanzania) was swapped for Bolt, while Koketso (South Africa) was swapped for Biguesas by their HOHs, Betty and Selly.

The eviction odds are divided into two groups. One of the southern African trio of Dillish, Hakeem and Koketsowill likely be evicted while Feza and LK4 will slug it out for the survival on Sunday.  Dillish will survive if she can garner the Rest of Africa and at least one other southern African country.

Hakeem and Koketso will slug it out for Angola, Zambia and Botswana. Whoever loses out will be evicted.
Feza is likely to have Tanzania and Malawi. But LK4 is certain to get Uganda and probably Ethiopia. But if Kenya chooses to back Tanzania as they did last week, Feza is in better stead.  She may also get the Ghana’s ‘one-good-turn’ votes and live to fight another day.
Nigeria and Sierra Leone’s country votes will be huge for any candidate that gets them.

Don't throw stones in a Diamond house!
It all started as fun. Elikem was put on the spotlight for his back-and-forth love for Feza while still keeping an eye on Dillish. It developed into huge revealations - Angelo had wanted to get it down ‘lip-on-lip’ with Huddah and was still stalking Annabel by the side. Hmmm... Then Dillish made all under 18s scramble for cover. “Nando told me he just wanted to bang me.”

Then Hakeem started throwing tantrums and sulking. “Let anybody that I have wronged put up their hands...none.” He was not taking his nomination by Diamond housemates in good faith. “I havegotten into this because you guys think I got into people’s space...which is not. And I could be going home for this.”
Then the death knell was unleashed by Nando.

He was simply agitated and angry that housemates were ‘finger pointing’ and not been real. He was backed by Fatima, Angelo and Hakeem as the quartet stormed out of the room. Motama’s efforts to restore calm were hopeless as tensions were truly high. Just as Bolt’s earlier attempts to calm the storm.
Fatima reveled in the moment to the amazement of other female Diamond mates.

Early showers for Denzel and Huddah
IK Osakioduwa, the Big Brother Africa show host was never going to play around this time. He cut out all the frills and picked Denzel first and Huddah next as the first housemates to exit The Chase. Denzel’s exit was somewhat not surprising seeing that he seemed lost most of the time despite the wacky entertainment he brought to the house. His drooling coupled with the fact that a Kenyan housemate was up ensured that his stay in the game was cutshort after the first week.
Huddah, the Kenyan bikini-clad model’s eviction was more of a shocker. Ethiopia’s Betty was adjudged to be higher up on the eviction danger list. But alas, she got a whopping 5-country vote to stay on.

HOW AFRICA VOTED
Betty - 5 (ETH, ANG, BOT, NAM, SLN); Selly - 3 (GHA, NGA, ROA); Natasha - 3(MAL, ZIM, ZAM); Huddah - 2 (KEN, TAN); Denzel -2 (UGA, RSA)

BBA STARGAME STATS
5Number of country votes Betty garnered as she surprisingly survived eviction in week 1. Ethiopia,

Angola, Botswana, Namibia and Sierra Leone kept the Ethiopian student in the show.

8 Number of housemates that have at least a child on The Chase.  Natasha has a daughter-same as Sulu,

Neylland Bolt.Feza, Pokello and Hakeem have a son each. The gender of Fatima and child is yet to be confirmed.
