On April 4, 2016, Nigeria’s hottest act, Olamide, and Africa’s #1 Music Website, notjustOk.com, joined forces to present the Olamide#WhoYouEpp Competition.
After over 2000 submissions, listens and thousands of votes from the notjustOk audience, we determined the TOP 10 finalists who had to battle in a Cypher so that a winner could emerge.
So, Lagos was the venue and in attendance was Olamide and the legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt on the wheels as 10 finalists battled it out for the top prize in a rap competition which was later trimmed down to the final 5.
Then came the CYPHER! An opportunity for the top 5 – Trod, Delis, Maupheen, Drew and Scripts to show the world what they’re made of.
With a very dope intro by Olamide, Witty flows, dope punchlines, fascinating wordplay were on the display as these 5 showed exactly why they’re in the top 5. Eventually, not one winner BUT TWO (2) were picked asMaupheen and Delis made it tough for the panel of judges, headed by DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olamide and Seyi of notjustOk.com.
So, there we go! 2 WINNERS emerging as top prize recipients of the #WhoYouEpp competition.
