What you need apart from ensuring you've got a great song is a great team. Your team should comprise of men and women who have a clear picture of your music, identity and aspirations. These ones have to be diligent and honest not just someone who's looking for his next cheque. In fact they have to believe in you more than you believe in yourself (if possible). Such individuals will go extra miles to get you out there. These ones will execute the budget accordingly. Guys who believe the reward will always come and are not in a hurry.
Getting your Music out there requires contacts from those basic avenues and having such individuals will guarantee that. Even if they don't have all the contacts, they won't mind calling one person to get the contact of another.
Such a team will not rest until they get you out there.
There has to be a structure. Well defined role for everyone, so when you go out, the person that's meant to be recording your performance will not be hustling for drinks or chilling backstage with girls. Run away from people that only talk about how to get girls and drinks anytime you're going for an event.
I've seen cases of artists that run to Managers of A-Listers and hoping for a miracle. "See ehn, if that person isn't seeing what you're seeing, na your money dem go take pay house rent"
