Joan Ekpai – Love Song + Hero
Joan Ekpai is a well-rounded musician who’s been working closely with Cobhams Asuquofor a few years. She made her NJO debut back in 2009 with “If You Are” and then went on a silent spell till 2012 when she returned with “Lighters Up”. The Sound Engineer continues to maintain a high standard with her 2013 singles “Love Song” and “Hero”. Check ‘em out.
“Nigerian talented alternative singer Joan Ekpai is back on the scene and are we happy to see her! After spending most of the last few months working in close doors with maverick producer Cobhams Asuquo, Joan is now an accomplished sound engineer and capable mixing engineer.
Composing the Nigerian Idol winner’s song for Mercy Chinwo and peening upcoming songs on Timi Dakolo’s upcoming album are some of the things that have kept Joan busy. The one-time top finalist at the inaugural West African Idols is here with her new alternate singles titled “Hero” and ‘Love Song”.
Majorly produced by the diva, in her own words she says; ‘Hero was inspired by love… I was tired of fake love or being loved falsely. It was a prayer to love and love indeed plus a desire to make someone else’s life better with a simple deed.’ “Love song” on the other hand preaches and celebrates agape love.”
